Trolleybus revival?

A surprising U-turn that it is suspected could see transport operators and politicians making a serious commitment to global warming gas emissions is being considered. Air pollution could be reduced and comfort on public transport could be improved by introducing trolleybuses back onto the streets of London. With the £2 billion that is rumoured to be promised, along with political commitment being stated for innovative methods of making travel more pleasant, environmentally friendly, and efficient, new or revived technologies are being suggested.

Light railway systems unfortunately currently cost too much for to be used widely whilst these new ideas combine the benefits of cutting pollution by using electric power along with lower cost. There are however, still many obstacles to be worked around before we can see a definate return of this vehicle to British streets.
